Role of Correlated Photon Pairs in the Spectrum Compression in Optical Fibers With Normal Dispersion

Abstract

We show experimentally that the presence of correlated photon pairs generated by Four Wave Mixing in Raman fiber lasers significantly increase the efficiency of spectrum compression of continuous-wave multimode waves propagating in normal dispersion fiber.
