Generation of 65-fs pulses at 2 μm in an all-fiber laser

Abstract

We demonstrate for the first time a sub-100 fs all-fiber laser at 2 μm. The output pulse can be as short as 65 fs with a spectral bandwidth of ~160 nm via nonlinear compression.
