Subwavelength grating racetrack resonator based ultrasensitive refractive index sensor

Abstract

An ultrasensitive transverse magnetic mode subwavelength grating racetrack resonator with a sensitivity of 429.7nm/RIU and a detection of limit of 3.71×10−4 RIU is demonstrated experimentally.
