Coherent beam combining on silicon chip through hybrid integration

Abstract

We demonstrate hybrid integration of passive coherent beam combining cavity integrated with a diode laser array on silicon photonics platform. Silicon nitride adiabatic coupler is used to obtain a broadband power splitting ratio of 50:50.
