Abstract

We investigate the structural and thermal nonequilibrium dynamics including the spin-reordering dynamics of an antiferromagnetic Dysprosium (Dy) nanolayer after excitation with fs-laser pulses by means of ultrafast structural and magnetic x-ray diffraction experiments.
