Abstract

We demonstrate an ultra-broadband OPA centered at ~6.5-µm, pumped by a 2.1-µm, 1 kHz, OPCPA, with an octave-spanning idler bandwidth spanning 4.5-9.0-µm. Interferometric autocorrelations confirm compressed 1.5-optical-cycle cycle pulses with μJ energies.
