Finite-Difference Elastic Wave Mode Solver for Acoustic Waveguide Design

Abstract

We demonstrate an eigenmode solver for acoustic waveguides based on the isotropic, linear elastic wave equation. This approach is more computationally efficient than commercial solvers, and enables design of integrated acousto-optic waveguides.
