Beam Control in Broad Area Bragg Reflection Waveguide Lasers using Microstructure

Abstract

A fishbone microstructure is proposed to control the lateral modes in the broad-area Bragg reflection waveguide lasers, the lateral divergence is improved by 22.2%, and lateral beam parameter product is decreased by 15.9%.
