Broadband mid-infrared difference frequency generation using apodized aperiodically poled LiNbO3 waveguide

Abstract

Apodized aperiodically poled LiNbO3 waveguide was fabricated by varying the duty cycle of sampled χ (2) grating. Broadband 3 μm difference frequency generation and gas spectroscopy were demonstrated using the device.
