Abstract

We demonstrate soliton self-frequency shifted femtosecond pulses in a newly-developed polarization-maintaining, Er-doped, very-large-mode-area fiber amplifier. The soliton wavelength could be tuned more than 90 nm. Clean 95 fs pulses with 18 nJ energy were obtained.
