Narrow-linewidth mid-infrared coherent sources based on fiber-amplified Er:ZBLAN microspherical lasers

Abstract

We demonstrate “usable” output power levels (175 μW) from a narrow-linewidth cw mid-infrared (MIR) laser via Er-Pr:ZBLAN fiber amplification of a 2.72 μm microresonator laser.
