Effective Symbol-Amplitude Scaling Scheme in DD-OFDM Transmitter with 4.3-dB Receiver-Sensitivity Improvement

Abstract

A simple and effective scheme of symbol-amplitude scaling is proposed and experimentally demonstrated to significantly improve OFDM transmitter performance. Up to 4.3-dB sensitivity improvement is achieved for OFDM QPSK signal in a LR-PON scenario.
