Improved Sensing Performance of Fiber-Optic Hydrogen Sensors Based on Actively Optical Heating

Abstract

Fiber-optic hydrogen sensor based on palladium-coating assisted with actively optical heating is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. Compared to normal sensor configuration without optical heating, proposed system shows improved hydrogen sensitivity, also with faster response time.
