Very Small Lasers and Resonators

Abstract

Evolution of small resonant lasers/cavities, from one-dimensional vertical cavity surface emitting lasers to two-dimensional photonic crystal lasers and back to one-dimensional nanobeam lasers, will be discussed. Emphases will be placed on ultra-low threshold nanobeam lasers.
