Abstract

χ(2)-nonlinearity enhanced by crystal lattice contribution in the THz-region is behind backward stimulated polariton scattering with efficiencies exceeding 50% in PPKTP where forward scattering process is suppressed. 10-times compression of counter-propagating signal is observed.
