Abstract

We report certain liquid mixtures that exhibit exotic Tyndall effects due to large contrast in refractive index modulation of their components. A sharp minimum in scattering enables these mixtures to notably modulate their optical diffusion. This can be applied in imaging, sensing, and displays.
