Characterization of Temperature and Strain Sensitivity of Low Cost Few-mode Fiber Based Interferometer Sensor

Abstract

We experimentally characterize a two-mode fiber (TMF) based intermodal interferometer sensor for temperature and strain. A wavelength-temperature coefficient of - 43 pm/ and wavelength-strain coefficient of - 2.3 pm/με have been measured.
