Optical manipulation of microparticles using graded-index fiber taper and its microfluidic sensing application

Abstract

Contactless optical manipulation of microparticles is demonstrated based on graded-index multimode fiber taper, which is further applied for microfluidic flow rate sensing. The manipulation length can be as long as 177.0 μm.
