Abstract
We demonstrate a 2.74 mJ, 1 kHz, ~4.2 ps DUV laser at ~257.7 nm with M2~2.54 from a frequency-quadrupled hybrid Yb-doped chirped-pulse amplifier. An infrared-to-DUV conversion efficiency of ~10% is achieved.
