Dual-comb absolute ranging using balanced optical cross-correlator as time-of-flight detector

Abstract

We demonstrate dual-comb absolute ranging using balanced optical cross correlator as high resolution pulse time-of-flight detector. Actual test performed at ~3 meters target distance proves a 200 nm ranging precision at 50 ms acquisition time.
