Abstract

When dealing with terahertz (THz) wave generation during two-color filamentation in air, the variation of plasma density (Ne), which is sensitive to the BBO crystal rotation angle θ, is an aspect to which little attention has been paid so far. In this work, Ne(θ) is systematically investigated, and according to our results, the well-known photocurrent model could not reproduce the characteristics of the THz pulse generated in both polarization directions.
