Bandwidth Tunable, High Suppression RF Photonic Filter with Improved Insertion Loss

Abstract

We demonstrate a scheme for minimising the insertion loss of an RF photonic filter, by exploiting the phase response of stimulated Brillouin scattering. We achieve a filter with high suppression, tunable bandwidth and low loss.
