Optical Vortex Fiber Lasers and their Application to Material Nano-processing

Abstract

We review high power optical vortex fiber lasers formed of a picosecond master laser and a stressed large-mode-area fiber amplifier. Vortex fiber lasers will provide a next-generation laser-oriented materials science, including the formation of chiral structures.
