Abstract

The Er3+ laser performance in materials can be enhanced by co-doping with large amounts of Yb3+, along with Cr3+ and Ce3+. The study reported herein focused on examining the complex interactions between these ions, as it relates to the laser emission at 1.5 μm from Er3+.
