Single mode 9.1mJ and 10ns pulses from 55µm core Yb-doped CCC fiber MOPA

Abstract

10ns pulses with 9.1mJ energy at 5 kHz repetition rate and in a diffraction-limited output beam are generated by a nanosecond-pulsed fiber amplifier system based on 35µm and 55µm core Yb-doped Chrially-Coupled-Core (CCC) fibers.
