Tunable Microwave Signal Generation with an Optically-Injected 1310nm Quantum Dot Distributed-Feedback Laser

Abstract

Tunable microwave signal generation with frequencies ranging from below 1 GHz to over 40 GHz is demonstrated experimentally using the period-1 dynamics induced in a 1310-nm Quantum Dot Distributed-Feedback laser under external optical injection.
