Multiplicative Mixing and Detection of THz Signals with a Field Effect Transistor

Abstract

We report on a multiplicative mixing architecture for THz detection with a field effect transistor. The mixer multiplies the THz signal with an orthogonally polarized local oscillator signal for down-conversion in a homodyne detection scheme.
