Direction-Controllable, Single-Lobed Photonic Crystal Lasers for Beam Steering Functionality

Abstract

We demonstrate direction-controllable, single-lobed photonic-crystal lasers. The obtained beam direction angles range from 10° to 50° with a narrow divergence angle. This is an important step for realizing single-lobed beam-steering lasers.
