Abstract

An optical temporal differentiator with a record operation bandwidth of ~25 THz is demonstrated based on a wavelength-selective directional coupler. An optical Gaussian pulse with a bandwidth of ~500 GHz is successfully differentiated in a proof-of-concept experiment.
