Fast Control of a Phase-Sensitive Fiber-Optic Parametric Amplifier by Frequency-Swept Brillouin-Gain Dispersion

Abstract

We demonstrate in-line control of a phase-sensitive fiber-optic parametric amplifier by tuning the pump frequency of a Brillouin fiber pre-amplifier. This approach achieves an order of magnitude faster response compared to piezoelectric control.
