Optical Parametric Regeneration for Phase-Modulated Signals

Abstract

All-optical signal regeneration using four-wave mixing in fibers is discussed. An experiment of nonlinear phase noise reduction of DQPSK signals by a phase-preserving amplitude limiter using saturated fiber-optic parametric amplifier is described.
