Combining Multiple Semiconductor Laser Sources for Spectral Pulse Shaping

Abstract

We propose and demonstrate a low cost multiple semiconductor laser source (SCL) for ultra-wideband pulse generation. The parallel gain-switched SCL source configuration, combined with a thermally adjustable pulse shaper, increases the synthesized waveform resolution.
