Optically referenced double comb interferometry: applications and technological needs

Abstract

Interferogram chirping to enhance the quality of dual comb interferometry is discussed, along with the associated trade with multiplicative noise. It is also shown that the signal providing the optical path difference axis is not oscillating at the carrier frequency of the optical signal. Applications less affected by the limited spectral range are proposed.
