Optical Gain Assisted Far-Field Sub-Wavelength Imaging

Abstract

We propose a far-field sub-wavelength imaging scheme, where evanescent waves from an object are converted to sustainable propagating waves by using optical gain. This approach does not rely on negative refraction, hyper-lenses, or plasmonic effects.
