Characterization of a difference-frequency based mid-infrared comb source

Abstract

We characterize a broad bandwidth mid-IR comb source generated through difference frequency mixing of a Yb femtosecond fiber laser. The relationship between amplitude noise, timing jitter, and output power is explored.
