40 W picosecond fiber laser at 976 nm

Abstract

We report on the generation of nearly transform-limited 1-ps pulses at 40 MHz based on amplification in the nonlinear regime at 976nm. The fiber laser system emits pulses with a duration of 1.56 ps and an energy of 1 µJ.
