Abstract

Orientation-patterned GaAs has been fabricated for use in dispersion interferometry. Second-harmonic generation of a CO<sub>2</sub> laser yields a cw output power of 6.5 mW with a device efficiency of 0.005% W<sup>-1</sup>.
