Single-Crystal Erbium Chloride Silicate Nanowires for Novel Si-Compatible Sources at 1.53 μm

Abstract

We report on synthesis of single crystal erbium chloride silicate nanowires, which exhibit superior optical property than erbium silicate, providing a new Si-compatible material for light emission and amplification at 1.53 μm wavelength.
