Toward a Tunable VUV Frequency Comb for 229mTh Nuclear Spectroscopy

Abstract

We constructed a Yb:fiber frequency comb for the generation of a vacuum-ultraviolet frequency comb via 7th harmonic generation. The spectral coverage and the noise performance of this comb are tailored for probing the 229mTh nuclear transition.
