Dynamic Beam Steering by All-Dielectric Magneto-Optical Nanoantennas

Abstract

We propose employing magneto-optic nanoantenna based on split-ring resonator of bismuth-yttrium iron garnets that allows transmitted optical beam steering using externally applied low magnetic field. The proposed magnetic nanoantenna produces a few-degrees spanning of the optical beam propagation direction, controlled by the strength of the external magnetic field.
