Abstract

Birefringent bismuth and erbium co-doped photonic crystal fiber (B-BEPCF) by preform stacking technology has been fabricated and characterized. Results demonstrate broadband and elliptically polarized near infrared (NIR) emission under 532 or 830 nm pumping, respectively.
