Transmission Nearfield Optical Microscopy (TNOM) of Photonic Crystal Bloch Modes

Abstract

We utilize the stimulated quantized interaction of free electrons with femtosecond lasers to present the first direct subwavelength imaging of photonic crystal Bloch modes, also measuring the modes’ lifetime and the entire photonic bandstructure.
