Abstract
Light-matter entanglement combines the long-distance transmission advantage of photonic qubits with the storage and processing capabilities of atomic qubits. In this work we used a laser-cooled atomic cloud to generate entanglement between photonic time-bin qubits and atomic spin excitations.
