Sub-cycle light bullets in the long-wavelength infrared

Abstract

Carrier-resolved unidirectional pulse propagation equations are used to model mid- and long-wavelength infrared laser filamentation in ZnSe, revealing a novel propagation regime where sub-cycle light bullets propagate stably with a critical dependence on plasma.
