Abstract
We study topological nodes in electromagnetic wave interactions with structures. We show that, when the nodes exist, it is possible to bind certain nodes to a mirror plane in the structure. Such binding does not rely on any resonances in the structure, thus is effective over a wide wavelength range. As an implication of such broadband binding, we demonstrate that the topological nodes can be used for hiding of metallic objects over a broad wavelength range.
