Abstract

We use the temporal Fourier transform of time-resolved x-ray scattering, known as Fourier-transform inelastic x-ray scattering (FT-IXS), to examine the harmonic, anharmonic, and dissociative dynamics of molecular iodine. This method can directly extract dissociation velocities.
