Formation Dynamics of Indirect Excitons and Electron Hole Droplets in InSb

Abstract

Direct band-gap semiconductor InSb is studied under intense electric fields leading to impact ionization followed by intervalley scattering. Further, fast formation of indirect excitons and Electron Hole Droplets(EHDs) is shown by time-resolved conductivity measurements.
