Fully compressible wideband radar signal generation with photonic frequency multiplication

Abstract

We demonstrate wideband radar signal generation by combining the advantages of direct digital synthesis and photonic frequency multiplication. Linear frequency modulated waveforms with a time-bandwidth product as high as 3200 are generated experimentally.
