Realization of Photonic Anomalous Floquet Topological Insulators

Abstract

We realize the first observation of a photonic anomalous Floquet insulator in the waveguide regime. In contrast to the common understanding, the system exihibts topological edge modes despite vanishing Chern number of all bands.
