Experimental demonstration of valley-dependent topological charge flipping in photonic graphene

Abstract

We report on pseudospin-mediated vortex phenomena arising from valley degree of freedom in photonic graphene. Topological charge flipping is observed by selective excitation of the two inequivalent valleys.
